Welcome to the New Oak Hill Christian School – Lynchburg Campus (9th-12th)

Located near Liberty University, our Lynchburg campus is open to all Christian families seeking a safe and secure setting for their high school-aged children. Using a 3-Day hybrid schedule, students are on-campus Tues, Wed, Thur and then work independently off-campus Mon & Fri.

We are homeschool-friendly and provide a full 4-year high school curriculum to include History, Literature, Bible, English, Math, Science, Choir and Latin – all taught using the classical Christian approach. No sports or extracurricular programs are offered as we encourage students to use local club and sports leagues.

  • Who are we?
    Founded in 1997, we are Oak Hill Christian School - a privately-owned Classical Christian school - with a primary campus in Herndon, VA (PK-12) and a new extension campus in Lynchburg, VA (9th -12th).
  • Where is Oak Hill Christian School located?
    The Herndon campus is located at 13525 Dulles Technology Drive, Herndon, VA. The Lynchburg campus is located at Providence Church, 108 Melinda Dr, Lynchburg, VA.
  • What classes are offered?
    We provide a full high school classical Christian curriculum to include History, Literature, Bible, English, Math, Science, Voice, and Latin. Our Lynchburg Campus does NOT offer any sports or extracurricular activities.
  • What is the 3-day ‘hybrid’ schedule?
    The Lynchburg Campus follows a 3-Day ‘hybrid’ schedule. Students are on-campus Tues, Wed, and Thurs and then work independently off-campus Mon & Fri. The curriculum is the same for all high school students.
  • Will colleges accept an Oak Hill diploma?

    Oak Hill has been teaching students in Virginia for over 20 years. Students are issued a high school diploma upon graduation. Our graduates have been accepted at all types of colleges and universities.

  • What is the academic calendar for Oak Hill?
    Oak Hill starts after Labor Day and ends the school year the day before Memorial Day. Our holiday schedule aligns with the majority of Virginia public and private schools.
  • Who can attend the school?
    All families seeking a Christian education can apply. Oak Hill screens students for character and we do expect families to show, through a Pastoral Recommendation letter, faithful attendance at a Christian church.
  • What is the dress code?
    Oak Hill students wear a uniform and we expect all staff to follow a dress code. Specific guidance on school uniforms, as well as recommendations on where to purchase uniforms, will be provided after acceptance.
  • What is the weekly/daily schedule?
    Drop-off at 8:30 am & pickup at 3 pm for all students. Students at the Lynchburg Campus will be on the ‘hybrid’ option. Classes will be held on-campus Tue-Thu with independent study off-campus Monday and Friday.
  • How are classes taught?
    Students are taught using staff from both campuses (Lynchburg and Herndon). When under the instruction of an off-campus teacher, a fellow teacher remains in the classroom providing onsite guidance.
