Welcome to Oak Hill Christian School – 3 Days on Campus High School

Our Herndon 3 day on campus high school is open to all Christian families seeking a safe and secure setting for their high school-aged children. Using a 3-Day hybrid schedule, students are on-campus Tues, Wed, Thur and then work independently off-campus Mon & Fri. (We also offer a separate 5 day high school.)

We are homeschool-friendly and provide a full 4-year high school curriculum to include History, Literature, Bible, English, Math, Science, Choir and Latin – all taught using the classical Christian approach. We encourage students to use local sports leagues.

  • Who are we?
    Founded in 1997, we are Oak Hill Christian School - a privately-owned Classical Christian school - with a primary campus in Herndon, VA (PK-12) and a new extension campus in Lynchburg, VA (9th -12th).
  • Where is Oak Hill Christian School located?
    The Herndon campus is located at 13525 Dulles Technology Drive, Herndon, VA. The Lynchburg campus is located at Providence Church, 108 Melinda Dr, Lynchburg, VA.
  • What classes are offered?
    We provide a full high school classical Christian curriculum to include History, Literature, Bible, English, Math, Science, Voice, and Latin. Our Lynchburg Campus does NOT offer any sports or extracurricular activities.
  • What is the 3-day ‘hybrid’ schedule?
    A 3-Day ‘hybrid’ schedule option is offered. Students are on-campus Tues, Wed, and Thurs and then work independently off-campus Mon & Fri. The curriculum is the same for all high school students.
  • Will colleges accept an Oak Hill diploma?

    Oak Hill has been teaching students in Virginia for over 20 years. Students are issued a high school diploma upon graduation. Our graduates have been accepted at all types of colleges and universities.

  • What is the academic calendar for Oak Hill?
    Oak Hill High School starts after Labor Day and ends the school year the day before Memorial Day. Our holiday schedule aligns with the majority of Virginia public and private schools. Our elementary school follows a traditional school year schedule.
  • Who can attend the 3 day program?
    All families seeking a Christian education can apply. Students are screened for character and we do expect families to show, through a Pastoral Recommendation letter, faithful attendance at a Christian church.
  • What is the dress code?
    Oak Hill students wear a uniform and we expect all staff to follow a dress code. Specific guidance on school uniforms, as well as recommendations on where to purchase uniforms, will be provided after acceptance.
  • What is the weekly/daily schedule?
    Drop-off at 8:30 am & pickup at 3 pm. Students on the ‘hybrid’ option are on-campus Tue-Thu with independent study off-campus Monday and Friday.
  • How are classes taught?
    Hybrid students are taught using staff from both campuses (Lynchburg and Herndon). When under the instruction of an off-campus teacher, a fellow teacher remains in the classroom providing onsite guidance.
